A Shared Bot Acts Strange

You installed someone else's bot and it's doing something odd. Diagnose, then customize or evict.

Most shared-bot weirdness is assumption mismatch, not malice: the bot was built for the author’s Saturday, tools, and language, and you’re running it on yours. The interrogation message settles the facts in one round-trip.

Then run the five-edit fitting: schedule, report format, language, scope trim, boundary check. If behavior still surprises you after a week of supervised runs, uninstall without guilt — the directory exists so that evicting a bot costs you one click, not one apology. And if you fixed a good bot that was shipped misconfigured, tell the sharer; that’s how the ecosystem gets better.
